Deaf-Led Experiential Learning

Managing the Silence

What happens when spoken language is removed?

Managing the Silence is a Deaf-led experiential learning programme that challenges participants to communicate, collaborate and solve problems without relying on speech.

Through structured non-verbal exercises and guided reflection, participants explore how they listen, lead, respond to uncertainty and work with others.

Why Managing the Silence

Removing the tool most teams rely on

Most workplace communication depends heavily on words. Managing the Silence temporarily removes that familiar tool and creates a different kind of learning environment.

Participants must pay closer attention to body language, observation, trust, clarity and the behaviour of others. The experience creates space to notice communication habits that often remain invisible in everyday work.
